Jamestown
Old Accra on foot: the lighthouse, the boxing gyms, the fishing harbour.

Jamestown is the oldest part of the city and the most photographed, which is exactly why it is worth doing properly rather than driving past. The lighthouse gives you the whole coast from the top. Below it is a working fishing harbour, and between the two are the boxing gyms that have produced a remarkable number of Ghanaian world champions.
Go with a local guide. This is a living neighbourhood, not a heritage site, and turning up with a camera and no context is both worse for you and worse for the people who live there.
