Kakum National Park
The canopy walkway: seven rope bridges strung forty metres up in the rainforest.

Kakum protects a stretch of rainforest that once covered most of southern Ghana. The draw is the canopy walkway, a chain of rope-and-plank bridges suspended about forty metres above the forest floor.
Go at opening. The walkway is single-file and it queues badly by mid-morning, and the forest is quieter and cooler early.
It pairs naturally with the castles as one long day out of Accra, which is why almost every tour bundles the three. Doing all three in a day is realistic only if you leave Accra before dawn.
